The International Energy Forum (IEF) is the world’s largest recurring gathering of Energy Ministers, globally recognized as the premier channel for the producer-consumer dialogue. The IEF countries account for more than 90% of global oil and gas supply and demand. Through the Forum and its associated events, IEF Ministers and Energy Industry Executives participate in a dialogue which is of increasing importance to global energy security. Recommendations on strengthening the dialogue process and on ways to tackle energy market volatility are being developed by the IEF Expert Group and High Level Steering Group. They will be presented for Ministerial approval at the Cancun meeting.
